The Eze Ndigbo Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos, Eze Michael Ezekwobi (Oyiomanatumba Nɗigbo Gbaagburugburu)has congratulated the new President-General Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide , Senator John Azuta Mbata as he is elected 13th President-General Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Senatar Mbata, former Senator representing Rivers East at the National Assembly from 1999 to 2007, was elected at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly meeting held at the old government lodge Enugu, Enugu State.

He takes over from Nze Ozichukwu Fidelis Chukwu, who was appointed to complete the tenure to succeed the late former DG, Chief Emmanuel lwuanyanwu.
In a statement, Ezekwobi said the emergence of Mbata as Ohanaeze PG serves as the beginning of the new era for Ndigbo.
The Eze urges Ndigbo home and the Diaspora to give Senator Mbata the needed support to succeed in his new assignment.
