Ezekwobi commends President Tinubu for establishing South East Development Commission

The Eze Ndigbo Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos State, Eze Michael Ezekwobi (Oyiomanatumba Nɗigbo Gbaagburugburu) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law, the Bill establishing the South-East Development Commission (SEDC)

President Tinubu signed the Bill into law on Tuesday, the 22nd of July, after the bill was passed by both chambers of the National Assembly in June and transmitted to the president for assent.

In a statement, Ezekwobi said the creation of SEDC was a blessing to the South East and a step towards healing the wounds of the Civil War.

“Now, our people have a sense of belonging. Gradually, the wind of marginalisation is gradually being replaced with good policies. I appeal to Mr. President to also sign the Bill establishing an additional state for the southeast region so that the region could be at par with other geo political zones
