The Igbo king of six nations Mekong River Asia, HRH Jerome Uzochukwu Ezeneche (Eze Nwatagwuosimiri) has paid tribute to elderstatesman and first Republic Aviation Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amechi who died on the 1st of November 2022 at the age of 93.
In a statement made available to the media from his palace in Bangkok, Thailand, the Okija Anambra State born Royal Father said Chief Amechi’s death is a great loss to Ndigbo at large.
” The late Chief Amechi is a Frontline nationalist with Igbo interest at heart. I could remember that his last assignment for Ndigbo was when he led other Igbo leaders to President Muhammadu Buhari to plead for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention.a plea that was yet to be honoured until his death.
While praying for God Almighty to give The Amechi’s family fortitude to bear the loss, HRH Ezeneche said Ndigbo would continue to hold the late Chief Amechi in high esteem.
