The Electricity Act 2023 allows the de-monopolization of Nigeria’s electricity generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level.
It also empowers states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity.
In a statement signed from his Palace in Bangkok Thailand, HRH Amb Ezeneche said, the measure is a step in the right direction to solve the country’s energy problems.
“If what his government can achieve is steady power, Nigerians will forever remember him for that, ” he said.
