Exclusive Shelters has partnered with Urban Shelters Infrastructure Limited to launch the second phase of the Dei-Dei Ultra-Modern Market in Abuja, in a move aimed at creating fresh commercial real estate and investment opportunities in the Federal Capital Territory.

The developers said the expansion followed the success of the first phase, which attracted investors and helped position the Dei-Dei axis as an emerging commercial destination.

They said Phase Two would provide another opportunity for investors who missed the first phase, as well as traders, entrepreneurs and businesses seeking space in the growing commercial corridor.

Speaking on the partnership, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Exclusive Shelters, Ahmad Bello Kawuwa, described the deal as a recognition of the company’s track record in real estate development.

He said, “The partnership didn’t happen by chance. Urban Shelters has built and delivered projects for decades, and they don’t put their name next to just anyone. They looked at the market, looked at who is actually delivering, and they came to us.”

Kawuwa added, “Exclusive Shelters has earned every bit of this recognition. While other companies were still finding their footing, we were already setting the pace, building on time, building right and building at a standard that attracts attention.

Dei-Dei Phase Two isn’t luck; it is the result of years of hard work and consistently outperforming many players in the industry. This is only the beginning of many landmark developments to come.”

Also speaking, Managing Director of Urban Shelters Infrastructure Limited, Rilwan Salihu Aliyu, described the agreement as the beginning of a long-term relationship that could reshape collaboration in Nigeria’s real estate sector.

He said, “Our signing today marks the beginning of a great relationship, not just signing documents but the beginning of a partnership that will last for many years to come.”

Aliyu added, “When you look at Exclusive Shelters, you see the future of excellence in Nigeria’s and Africa’s real estate landscape. We deliberately chose a company that has consistently demonstrated credibility and outstanding project delivery over the years.”

He said the company’s track record was a major factor behind the partnership.

“I don’t think I have seen a private company that delivers like Exclusive Shelters—and on time. Their track record is absolutely commendable and is something every industry player should learn from. We knew immediately that this company truly deserved to become the first private company we would partner with,” Aliyu said.

The companies said the project was coming at a time when infrastructure development was improving the commercial prospects of the Dei-Dei area.

They specifically cited the commissioning of the access road linking Dei-Dei to Life Camp by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, saying improved connectivity was expected to support increased commercial activity, property values and investment returns.

According to the developers, the strong demand recorded during the first phase prompted investors who missed the initial opportunity to seek another chance to participate in the project.

They said Phase Two was therefore designed to meet that demand while allowing new investors to benefit from the expected growth of the area.

Exclusive Shelters said its business model goes beyond conventional property development, describing itself as a wealth creation firm focused on helping individuals, families and businesses build sustainable wealth through real estate.

“We are not just a real estate company; we are a wealth creation firm,” the company stated.

It added, “Every project we undertake is carefully selected to create sustainable value for investors. We identify high-growth locations and align our developments with government infrastructure initiatives to maximise long-term appreciation and investment returns.”

The company said its continued investment in the Karsana-Dei-Dei corridor was in line with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and ongoing infrastructure development across the FCT.

The developers expressed optimism that the combined experience of both companies would make Phase Two of the Dei-Dei Ultra-Modern Market a major commercial development, creating opportunities for investors, retailers, entrepreneurs and businesses while contributing to economic activity in Abuja.
