Over 2000 children from some public primary schools in Ikorodu, Lagos State, received various school items from an organisation called Kompactible. Items distributed were school uniforms, school bags, school sandals, exercise books, socks, pencils, pens and erasers.
The initiative called Project Q-Good (Project Quality Education, Good Health and Wellbeing) endorsed by Lagos State Education Board is premised on the Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 4 (SDG). This kind gesture by the organisers is established to commemorate Children’s Day celebration every year. This year’s outreach with the theme: “Their Future Our Concern,” marks the 5th edition. The four schools that benefited from the items included Ayamgburen Primary school, Methodist Primary school, Ikorodu, Oga primary school, and Anglican Primary Schools, Isawo, all in Ikorodu, Lagos.
In her address, the founder of Kompactible, Favour Fagbolade, said that this year’s programme was guided by the theme, “Their Future, Our Concern.” Fagbolade stated that it was a sensitisation programme on health, education, security, safety and character development, dedicated to nurturing minds and building a generation that is informed, healthy, and empowered.
“Since our inception in 2022, we’ve focused on promoting quality education and healthy living through the distribution of school essentials and organised sensitisation programmes in our continuous effort to bridge the critical gaps faced by underserved communities, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. With the support of partners, sponsors, and well-meaning individuals, we are confident in our ability to create lasting impact one child, one school, and one community at a time.”

She further stated that Project Q-GOOD stands as a purposeful initiative committed to shaping a better future by investing in the education and well-being of children.
Also speaking, the project manage of Kompactible, Ewaoluwa Fagbolade, a lawyer, went down memory lane while highlighting the vision of the project.
“What started as a humble vision in 2022 with the sensitization of 281 public school pupils, and the distribution of school essentials to 36 pupils has grown into a movement of hope. I am glad to share that we have officially reached over 5,000 school children to date.”
According to Ewaoluwa Fagbolade, they set out this year with a mission to support young learners by distributing essential school items and conducting vital health and safety outreach. “On the 21st and 22nd of May 2026, our efforts took us to four public schools in Ikorodu, Lagos, where we directly impacted over 2,000 children. Seeing the pure joy, smiles, and genuine happiness on the faces of these children is the greatest return on investment we could ever ask for. This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our donors and collaborators. We are deeply grateful for your support as we continue to invest in the future of our children.”
Some of the volunteers could not hide their joy. One of them, Tobi, described the event as impactful. “The children were so happy to have us,” she said.
Another volunteer, Joy, said: “The smiles on the children’s faces meant everything to me. Some of them have probably been asking their guardians for these materials for a while. Seeing their wish come true today as they arrived at school made it all worthwhile. A big thank you to the teachers for organizing the children so well. They were amazing.”
