…Ex-MOUA VC too

From Fred Ezeh, Abuja

Former Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUA), Umudike, Abia State, Prof. Hilary Edeoga has been listed among eminent Nigerians to  be decorated with national honours award as part of events  marking  the country’s independence anniversary.

Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, George Akume, in a letter said Prof. Edeoga would be decorated with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) at an investiture ceremony scheduled for  the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Edeoga’s recognition is said to be unconnected with the fact that he had distinguished himself and left a remarkable legacy while he served as the Vice-Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State between 2011 to 2016.

In addition to that, he has held several elective and appointive positions including Commissioner in Enugu State for several years.
