President Muhammadu Buhari has described former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mustapha Balogun, as a man who had  penchant for boosting the morale of officers and men in the Police Force, a quality he said has been acknowledged by those who served under him.

In a statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari noted that during his tenure as IGP, Balogun did his utmost to ensure that the police performed its statutory responsibilities under a democratic dispensation.

The President condoled with family, friends and associates of the deceased as well as the Nigeria Police Force on Balogun’s demise, even as he prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
