Everton is hopeful it can secure a work permit for Henry Onyekuru. The Nigerian striker is still out on loan, having signed for Everton in 2017.

According to the Liverpool ECHO, the club hoped it could present a good case at his work permit hearing to get him approved. The 21-year-old is currently at Galatasaray for the season.

And Everton Director of Football, Marcel Brands went to watch him in the Europa League against Benfica.

Manager Marco Silva also admitted they were following his progress.

“Yes, we are doing our work and are aware of everything he is doing,” Silva said to reporters.

“It is the same with all of our loan players and at the end of the season we will take a decision.

“We are following him like we are following all the loan players and, as you know, we have a big number of loan players and we have to do that work and take the right decisions for us.”
