By Christy Anyanwu
Agbada is a traditional Yoruba attire worn by men in Nigeria and other West African countries. Here are some popular Agbada styles for men:
Classic Agbada: This is a traditional, simple, and elegant design with a loose-fitting top and pants.
Modern Agbada: This is a contemporary twist on the classic design, often with bold colours, patterns, and embroidery.
Senator Agbada: A more formal version, typically made with luxurious fabrics like velvet or lace.
Royal Agbada: A grand, elaborate design with intricate embroidery and ornate patterns, often worn by dignitaries.
However, fabric choice depends on the designer. It could be with lace, brocade, velvet, damask, velvet, cashmere and sample material comes out exotic and grand in Agbada. To make a good fit Agbada, eight to 10 yards of fabric is pertinent to make a grand design.
