Euro 2024 final: England get double fitness boost ahead of Spain clash

England

England’s final training session on Saturday included Harry Kane and Kieran Trippier, providing Gareth Southgate with a double fitness boost.

Injuries forced both players to leave Wednesday’s 2-1 semi-final victory against the Netherlands.

Trippier was dealing with a groin issue, while Kane had a right foot injury.

However, all 26 players were present for the Three Lions’ final workout before heading to Berlin later in the day.

Southgate will most likely have his whole team available for the encounter, as they look to capture their first major men’s title in 58 years.

The England manager is, however, seriously considering replacing Trippier with Luke Shaw, his only natural left-footed full-back in the team, at left wing-back.
