The Three Lions of England advanced to the quarterfinals of the Euro 2024 competition after defeating Slovakia 2-1 on Sunday night.

Slovakia took the lead in the 25th minute with Ivan Schranz’s low strike, which was cancelled by Jude Bellingham’s bicycle kick in stoppage time.

At the opening of extra time, Kane took control and secured a 2-1 lead with a superb header. Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was unable to reach the ball, and the entire stadium in Gelsenkirchen was filled with joy.

Now, England will meet Switzerland in the quarterfinals. Although the Three Lions’ performances are worrying this might be the impetus required to win the European Cup.
