Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eti-Osa Constituency I, Lagos State, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the party’s ticket dispute and ensure the restoration of Noheem Adams as its candidate.
The stakeholders said Adams won the May 20 primary with 7,638 votes against Saheed Bankole’s 1,225 votes, but the party’s published candidate list named Bankole as its flag bearer.
They argued that the primary result reflected the choice of party members and urged the leadership to respect it while resolving the dispute through dialogue.
The stakeholders, comprising ward leaders, grassroots mobilisers, youths, women and other party members, said restoring Adams’ ticket would strengthen confidence in the party’s internal democratic process and avert divisions ahead of the 2027 elections.

“Politics is local,” they said, stressing that the views of grassroots members should guide the resolution of the dispute.
“We seek justice, but we equally seek peace. We seek restoration, but we equally seek reconciliation,” they added.
They appealed to Tinubu to “hear the voice of the grassroots, respect the choice of the locals, reconcile our political family and help resolve the dispute amicably.”
