Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has said the era of clannish politics in the state was over and gone for good.
Reacting to an online publication which tend to suggest that Otti has not done much for Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, his adopted home, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma said Otti is a big player with urbane view and philosophy of modern governance.
”Let me restate that Dr. Alex Otti is a big player with urbane view and altruistic philosophy of modern governance. He believes that once governance is holistic and driven with unquenchable altruism, everyone and every clan would benefit.
”If he shared the same clannish and medieval philosophy of ‘umunnem system of democracy’, he would have upheld the clan-induced fraud that was going on in ABSU before he assumed office. He would have drawn up a list of his supporters and loyalists and their family members and offered them admissions or jobs, even without the existence of job opportunities like his predecessors did, at the expense of other citizens”.
Going further, Ekeoma said, “Otti is not a village head, he is a Governor of a state. He is not just a governor, but one that was unanimously voted by Abians from all parts of the State. He is loved and cherished across the length and breadth of Abia State.
”While not seeking to dignify all these dishonest propagandists who have audaciously chosen to sit the truth on its head in order to score cheap political points, especially concerning Isialangwa South, which by the way is not more important than any other LGA, these are some of the projects that the government has either completed or presently doing in the LGA”.
Ekeoma enumerated some of the projects the Otti administration has executed in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area and the ones it is still executing and said the allegation had no basis.
