Manchester City won their Premier League match against Wolves 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side was trying to rebound from consecutive losses to Manchester United and Bodo/Glimt in the previous week.

City also understood that a victory would reduce the distance between them and leaders Arsenal to four points.

Omar Marmoush, who started ahead of Erling Haaland, put the hosts in front in the first half.

City were denied a penalty despite a VAR check, but Antoine Semenyo ensured they went into the break two goals up.

There were no goals in the second half.
