Carlos Mac Allister, the father and agent of Alexis Mac Allister, has said the Liverpool midfielder will not be leaving the club this summer.
The assurance lays to rest speculations linking the 27-year-old Argentine to some of Europe’s elite clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester City, where he has been tipped as replacement for Rodri.
He has also been linked to Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray.
“Alexis will stay at Liverpool, and we have not discussed any possibility of him leaving the club this summer,” Carlos Mac Allister told WinWinAllSports, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Reports from England suggest Liverpool head coach, Andoni Iraola believes in his No. 10 and considers him an important part of his project this term.
Mac Allister has two years left on his contract at Anfield.
