Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo is set to face a three-match ban after his red card against Arsenal.

Caicedo was sent off in the Blues’ 1–1 draw with the Premier League leaders on Sunday.

The Ecuador international was initially given a yellow card for a lunge on Mikel Merino.

But the VAR officials advised referee Anthony Taylor to review the incident on the pitchside monitor.

Taylor then upgraded the yellow card to a red.

Caicedo will now be suspended for three matches: Leeds vs Chelsea on Wednesday, Bournemouth vs Chelsea on Saturday and Chelsea vs Everton on Saturday.
