Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s captain, has earned the Premier League Player of the Season title.

Fernandes has scored eight goals and equalled the record for the most assists in a single season, alongside Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, with 20.

The 31-year-old won the award for the first time in his career. By capturing the award, Fernandes becomes the first Manchester United player to take home the crown since Nemanja Vidic in the 2010–11 season.

Bruno’s triumph comes on the heels of a historic campaign that spearheaded United’s resurgence.

Under the guidance of Michael Carrick, Fernandes found another gear, dictating tempo and pulling the strings of an explosive Red Devils attack.

Fernandes had already secured the FWA Footballer of the Year award and now adds another accolade to a historic season after helping United secure Champions League football.

As United prepare to return to Europe’s elite stage next season, their “Portuguese Magnifico” stands proudly at the absolute peak of his powers.
