EPL: Arsenal thrash Ipswich to delay Liverpool’s title celebration

Arsenal thrash Ipswich

Liverpool’s title celebration was delayed on Sunday by Arsenal as Leandro Trossard was the inspiration for Mikel Arteta’s side’s 4-0 win over Ipswich.

It was Arsenal’s first victory in three league games, with Trossard netting twice while other goals came from Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.

The win puts Ipswich on the brink of relegation after Leif Davis was sent off for brutally tackling Bukayo Saka at Portman Road.

Arsenal, who are 10 points behind leaders Liverpool, need six points from their remaining six games to be crowned English champions for a record-equalling 20th time.

Arsenal earned a place in the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2009.

The Gunners will face Paris Saint-Germain after eliminating Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
