EPL: Arsenal get injury boost ahead of Man Utd match

Arsenal thrash Ipswich

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stated that Gabriel Magalhães, Riccardo Calafiori, and Jurrien Timber would be available for the forthcoming Premier League season.

The trio did not play in Thursday’s preseason friendly against Tottenham Hotspur, which ended 1-0.

Gabriel and Timber have missed all three of Arsenal’s Asian games due to injuries sustained around the conclusion of last season.

After the game, Arteta was asked if they would be ready for the trip to Manchester United in their first league fixture on 17 August.

He replied: “I don’t think so. If they evolve like they’ve been involved in the last few days, so Gabriel Magalhães, Calafiori and Timber, the three of them will be available.”
