Arsenal came from behind to defeat Leeds United 2-1 in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners secured all three points after second-half goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimarães cancelled out James Justin’s opener for Leeds.
Leeds took the lead in the 55th minute when Justin converted a low cross from Gabriel Gudmundsson, putting the visitors ahead and increasing the pressure on the home side.
However, Arsenal responded seven minutes later as Calafiori restored parity, capitalising on a rebound after Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford failed to hold the ball.
The hosts continued to push for a winner and completed the comeback in the 70th minute through substitute Guimarães, who fired home from the edge of the box following a well-worked attacking move involving Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard and Declan Rice.
Leeds attempted to find a late equaliser but Arsenal held on to secure the victory.
The result helped Arsenal return to winning ways following their 3-0 defeat to Brighton before the international break, while Leeds suffered their first league defeat of the campaign.
Arsenal’s victory also moved them level on points with Manchester City in the Premier League standings.
