Arsenal maintained their perfect start to the Premier League season on Sunday after coming from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in a thrilling London derby at the Emirates Stadium.
Chelsea made a stunning start when Morgan Rogers put the visitors ahead after just two minutes, converting Jurrien Hato’s assist to leave Arsenal chasing the game almost immediately.
The champions responded with greater intensity and were rewarded in the 25th minute when Kai Havertz restored parity from Declan Rice’s assist, sending the two sides into half-time level.
Arsenal completed the turnaround five minutes after the restart as captain Martin Ødegaard put the hosts ahead in the 50th minute, with Christos Tzolis providing the assist.

Chelsea continued to push in stoppage time, but Arsenal defended their narrow advantage and managed possession intelligently as Mikel Arteta urged his players to remain composed.
The victory keeps Arsenal’s 100 per cent record intact after three Premier League matches, while Chelsea suffered their first defeat under manager Xabi Alonso. The match attracted 60,240 spectators at the Emirates Stadium.
