Arsenal win Premier League title after 22-year wait

The Opta Supercomputer has released its predictions for the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Arsenal head into the new campaign as defending champions after finishing seven points ahead of Manchester City last season.

Manchester United and Aston Villa completed the top four in the previous campaign.

Following thousands of simulations, Opta has given Arsenal a 38.0 per cent chance of successfully defending their Premier League title.

Their closest rivals are expected to be Manchester City (20.5%) and Liverpool (9.2%).

Manchester United (6.2%), Aston Villa (4.8%) and Chelsea (4.1%) have been tipped to complete the top six.

Arsenal will open the new campaign when they welcome Coventry City to the Emirates on Friday night.
