The traditional ruler of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese ancient kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Aloysius Ogbonna Jnr, has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah on his conferment of an Honorary Doctor of Law Degree by the University of East London, United Kingdom.
Igwe Ogbonna, in a congratulatory message issued to newsmen in Enugu, yesterday, described the honour as a recognition of Mbah’s hard work, education, leadership, and service to humanity.
The monarch said the governor’s journey from a law student at the University of East London to becoming a lawyer, successful entrepreneur, and governor of Enugu State was an inspiration to many. He also commended the attention the Mbah administration had devoted to education, skills development, innovation, and the welfare of young people, describing the initiatives as evidence of a clear vision for the future of the state.
He said the honorary doctorate also underscores the importance of education, determination, and service to humanity and prayed that God would continue to grant Mbah wisdom, good health, and strength to lead Enugu State and contribute to the development of Nigeria.
Igwe Ogbonna said: “I warmly congratulate the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctor of Law Degree by the University of East London, United Kingdom.
