The New Enugu Group (NEG) has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah on his victorious outing in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, describing the triumph as well deserved. The governor secured the APC governorship ticket for his re-election bid after emerging as the consensus candidate of the ruling party, following a peaceful primary election conducted across the state. In a statement issued on Friday by its convener, Henry Okeke, the group hailed Mbah’s leadership and developmental strides over the past three years, noting that his performance remains unprecedented in the history of Enugu State.

According to the group, the governor’s achievements across key sectors have earned him the confidence and continued support of the people. It added that his continuity in office is non-negotiable. “We stand firmly behind your mandate and remain committed to supporting your vision for a greater Enugu State,” the statement read. The group further reaffirmed its belief in Mbah’s leadership and urged him to remain focused on his transformative agenda for the state.
