The Enugu State APC Campaign Council has held a strategic meeting to coordinate activities and map out mobilisation plans to market Governor Peter Mbah and all APC candidates ahead of 2027.
The meeting, convened by Director-General Chief Charlie Mbah, brought together key leaders to review strategies for an effective campaign across the state.
In attendance were Deputy Directors-General Okey Ogbodo (Enugu East), Dr Dan Shere (Enugu North) and S.K.E. Udeh-Okoye (Enugu West), and Secretary-General Dr Eric Oluedo.
Spokesman Steve Oruruo said the gathering represented the core leadership of a wider structure comprising politicians, former public office holders, intellectuals and business leaders.
“We have a very strong body. Chief Charlie Mbah set the tone for an effective outing in marketing the governor and all APC candidates from top to bottom,” Oruruo said.
He described the council as a formidable assembly of political veterans, citing former Governor Jim Nwobodo, former Senate President Ken Nnamani, former Governors Sullivan Chime and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi among figures associated with the mobilisation.
Oruruo said the meeting aimed to harness experience, anticipate challenges and communicate Mbah’s achievements.
“The framing of our messaging is anchored entirely on the blistering, superlative performance driven by our governor. He is the nucleus of our campaign,” he said.
He listed projects to feature in the campaign, including 260 Smart Green Schools, 260 primary healthcare centres, a world-class international hospital to reduce medical tourism, and Enugu Air.
He noted Enugu’s voter figures: 382,971 accredited voters in the last election against about 2.11 million registered in 2023 and about 2.22 million currently. He said the council intends to unlock that potential into votes.
“The message of the governor’s stellar achievements will be carried into every nook and cranny of Enugu,” he said.
The meeting set the stage for opening the campaign office and operational engagements across directorates to intensify mobilisation.
