The Forum of Special Assistants to the Governor from Enugu West Senatorial Zone, has flagged off a unity rally in support of the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi-led administration which it described as peaceful and development-oriented.
The group made this known in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Prince Okwudili Ekoh, in which it disclosed plans by stakeholders and the good people of Enugu West senatorial zone to launch the rally.
The rally which is tagged, “Ife-Emelumma” has been scheduled for 7th of August, 2021 at the Awgu LGA Secretariat.
According to the group, Ife-Emelumma which literally means equity, justice and fairness is coming as a move to show solidarity to Governor Ugwuanyi for his outstanding leadership traits towards the unprecedented development of Enugu State and also drive home their support for whichever candidate he endorses as the next governor of Enugu State come 2023.
The communique read in part:
“We the Special Assistants to His Excellency, the Governor from Enugu West senatorial zone under the auspices of the Forum of SAs from Enugu West wish to state as follows;
1) that we unanimously endorse the peace and development oriented governance of His Excellency, RT Hon. Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the executive Governor of Enugu State.
2) that we totally endorse the auspicious Ife-Emelumma Enugu West unity rally.
3) that we encourage our people, the good people of Enugu West to embrace, mobilize for and attend the Ife-Emelumma rally come 7th of August, 2021 at Awgu LGA Secretariat.
4) that the forum aligns itself with whatever will be the outcome of the Ife-Emelumma rally.
5) that come 2023, the forum will support, work for and deliver who ever our boss, the peace loving and hard working governor of Enugu State endorses as the next governor of Enugu State. In this instance, we say in loud voice that whatever is the decision of His Excellency in 2023 , is where we stand.
“May Enugu State remain in the hands of God.”
