A Nigerian entrepreneur and founder, ANJID LLC, Hussein Yahaya Ibraheem, is extending efforts in youth empowerment and social intervention, particularly across underserved communities in Nigeria.
The Dubai-based media entrepreneur, Ibraheem, through ANJID LLC, a media and communications firm registered in Fujairah Media City, has positioned media not only as a commercial enterprise, but as a tool for youth development, advocacy, and social mobilisation.
Ibraheem said since formally beginning his professional journey in 2015, his work has increasingly aligned with initiatives aimed at equipping young people with resources, support systems, and pathways for economic participation.
“Much of this focus became more pronounced in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
At a time when young people and low-income households were disproportionately affected, Ibraheem said he coordinated large-scale relief efforts, overseeing the distribution of more than 100 truckloads of food supplies to vulnerable communities. The intervention provided immediate support while laying the groundwork for broader youth-focused recovery programmes. In the post-pandemic period, attention shifted toward long-term empowerment. According to figures associated with the initiative, more than 40,000 youths across Nigeria’s North-East region have since benefited from programmes centred on capacity building, social support, and community resilience.
Ibraheem pointed out that these efforts have targeted regions where conflict, unemployment, and limited access to opportunity continue to shape youth outcomes.

Ibraheem’s approach, they say, reflects a growing trend of diaspora-driven initiatives that blend media influence with grassroots impact.
Beyond field interventions, Ibraheem has remained active on youth-focused platforms, participating in and hosting programmes that bring together media professionals, youth advocates, and development stakeholders.
These engagements have helped amplify youth-centred conversations and foster collaboration across borders. His contributions to youth advancement have received formal recognition, including the SWAN/Northern Youths Association Award, presented in acknowledgment of his support for youth development and community empowerment.
