Engineers to brainstorm on innovation, infrastructure, sustainability in Nigeria

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Trans Amadi Branch, has announced the lineup of activities for the 2025 Engineering Week, scheduled to run from July 21 to 25, 2025.

According to a statement signed by the Branch Chairman, Dr. Jonathan Francis, FNSE, Chairman of the Trans Amadi Branch of NSE, this year’s theme: “Engineering the Future: Innovation, Infrastructure & Sustainability,” will bring together leading voices in the engineering profession.

The event will be chaired by Margeret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, President and Chairman-in-Council of NSE.

Other distinguished guests include Prof. Sadiq Z. Abubakar (President, COREN), Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, FNSE (Executive Secretary, NCDMB), Engr. Victor Bandele, FNSE (DMD, Deepwater Asset, TotalEnergies EP Nigeria), Engr. Adewale Fayemi, FNSE (MD TotalEnergies GRP Nigeria), Engr. Olatunji Akinwunmi, FNSE (ED CS TotalEnergies), Engr. Obi Imemba, FNSE (ED JV TotalEnergies), Engr. Alex Aghedo, FNSE (EGM AOBO TotalEnergies), Engr. Seun Faluyi, FNSE (National Chairman, NISafetyE), and Engr. Chief Giandomenico Massari, FNSE (President, Cycling Federation of Nigeria).

Speaking on the significance of the event, Dr. Francis emphasized the need for reflection and action in the face of rapid technological change.

“We are at a pivotal moment in our profession. With emerging technologies reshaping our world, this is the time for engineers to reflect, innovate, and lead. The Trans Amadi Branch Engineering Week offers a platform for thought leadership, policy influence, and community impact.
