Emir Yauri lauds Kebbi govt for N50m approval for modern royal boat procurement

The Emir of Yauri in Kebbi State, Dr Zayyanu Abdullahi has lauded Gov. Nasir Idris, for approving N50 million for the procurement of modern royal boat.

The approval was announced at the turbaning ceremony of Dr Yusuf Tanko-Sununu, State Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction as Danmadamin Yauri at the palace of Emir of Yauri, Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi on Sunday.

The Emir had also turbaned Sen. Bala Ibn Na’Allah, former Senator, representing Kebbi South as Bauran Yauri and Alhaji Adamu Muhammad-Birnin-Yauri, current member representing Ngaski at the State House of Assembly as Lifidan Yauri.

He appreciated the Governor for the execution of developmental projects in his domain, which according to him, cut across different sectors.

The Royal Father urged all traditional title holders to work together towards sustaining the prevailing peace in the area.

He appealed to all and sundry to support the policies and programmes of the state government to enable it effectively deliver the dividends of democracy.

.in his reaction on behalf of other turbaned personalities, Sununu, appreciated the emir for finding them worthy of the title and promised not to disappoint the emir and the people of the area.

He assured the readiness of the newly turbaned to collaborate with the state government and other individuals to bring positive development to the area.

Sununu urged Nigerians to repent and seek divine intervention on lingering challenges that engulfed the nation.

The minister, who reminded Nigerians that the United Nations had predicted that more than 30 million people would suffer from hunger, however, admonished Nigerians to use the available vast land for dry season farming to reverse the anticipated trend for the good of all.
