The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has tasked the youth with the pursuit of both Islamic and Western education, insisting that a balanced approach to knowledge is best for social progress.

The monarch stated this on Thursday at the closing ceremony of the Holy Qur’an recitation competition organised by the Ganduje Foundation in Kano.

Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, his Chief Press Secretary, said in a statement that the ceremony showcased the monarch’s unwavering commitment to promoting Islamic education and fostering moral and spiritual growth among the youth in the state.

Bayero viewed the competition as a platform to inspire the younger generation to deepen their connection with the Holy Qur’an and its teachings.
