The Pro-Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Mohammed Santuraki, will speak on ‘Leveraging on Emerging Technologies to Drive Innovation, Creativity and Productivity’ at the Annual Management National Conference of he Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
Slated for 7th to 9th September, at Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Centre, the Registrar/Chief Executive of the Institute, Mrs. Taiwo Olusesi, in a statement said, “Dr. Santuraki, a distinguished fellow of the Institute and a renowned public policy analyst, is an accounting and management professional who has held sway in boardrooms and has an accomplished career in banking and finance.
“Previously serving as MD/CEO of FBN Mortgages and the Bank of Agriculture; Chairman, Association of Nigerian Development Finance Institutions, and National Vice President, Mortgage Bankers Association of Nigeria (MBAN)”.
The Registrar added “the annual conference which is the flagship of the Institute’s many programmes and one of its numerous contributions to nation building has ‘Leveraging on Emerging Technologies to Drive Innovation, Creativity and Productivity’ as the theme, which provides the Institute the platform to brainstorm extensively on a burning governance and leadership issue of national importance and suggest ways forward to government and key in decision makers”.

“The conference, usually a gathering of the highest number of professional managers under one roof usually attracts about 2,000 participants made up of government functionaries, decision-makers, opinion leaders, policy formulators and top management executives in both the private and public sector”, the statement added.
According to Olusesi, “to make it a good learning and interactive experience, other than the main theme, the Institute has painstakingly sought out breakout session topics for the Conference which include: ‘Empowering Nigeria’s Youth for Future Leadership Roles- The Way forward’; Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on New Management Processes, Human Capital Development and Policy- Issues and Prospects’, and ‘Creating Better Living Conditions for Senior Citizens- A closer Look at Geriatric Management in Nigeria”.
“While Deacon Mike Egboh, Country Director, Chemonics GHSE-PSM Project Nigeria will serve as keynote speaker; Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, former Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly; Prof. Dantani Wushishi, Registrar/Chief Executive, National Examination Council (NECO), and Dr. Simeon Umukoro, Trade Market Access Lead, UK Department for Business and Trade will be panelists.
Others are: Ms. Christie Adejoh, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Marthee’s International Ltd. and a serving Council member of the Institute will be the moderator of panel discussion. Prof. Nnamdi Nwaodu, Director General, Centre for African American Research Studies; Omolara Onuwa-Abiamuwe, Director of Programme, UNICONN Institute of Technology, and Dr. Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria on Economic Matters are breakout session matters. Members of the Institute were encouraged to register and pay for the conference.
