Elections: AIG, FCT police commissioner meet with party chairmen, candidates, others in Abuja

The coordinating Assistant Inspector-General of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, Aishatu Abubakar, has met with with chairmen of political parties and candidates ahead of the 2023 general election scheduled for Saturday, February 25.

The meeting which took place at the zonal headquarters in Abuja, had in attendance the Commissioner of Police FCT, Sadiq Abubakar and heads of other security agencies.

FCT Police command public relations officer, Josephine Adeh, said the meeting deliberated on practical options to ensuring peaceful and credible elections.

She said the participants were also made to signed a peace accord.
