The Kaduna State Publicity Secretary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Darius Kurah, has condemned the expulsion slammed on the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, by the National Working Committee of the party, saying, “it is null and void because the action did not follow due process.”
Speaking to Daily Sun in a reaction to El-Rufai’s expulsion from the party, Kurah maintained that, “Kaduna office of the SDP is not aware of the expulsion, and if such action should be taken, it is supposed to start from the chairman of his ward, but this did not happen.
“So, El-Rufai remains one of the bona fide members of our party. Any political party is free and open to new membership at any time.
“We can’t take the expulsion of El-Rufai seriously because somebody just woke up and decided to issue such a letter, which has no iota of truth.
“We consider it as a social media propaganda. We are, therefore, making it clear and loud that Nasir El-Rufai remains a bona fide member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).”
