The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government to use the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration to imbibe the fear of God, as well as end their alleged  “profligacy, exploitation, deceit and manipulations that have brought untold hardship to Nigerians.”

The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Friday, expressed concerns over the spate of insecurity and economic hardship in the country under the president administration.

Nevertheless, the opposition party congratulated Nigerians on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir and urged them to use the occasion to reinforce their faith in Allah’s unfailing love, kindness and provision, regardless of the challenges confronting the country.

“Our party is deeply disturbed by the pervading sense of gloom in the country; the worsening insecurity where our nation has become a large killing field with citizens left at the mercies of terrorists, bandits and marauders; the unbearable economic hardship and agonising life-discounting experiences all resulting from the reckless mismanagement of national resources by the insensitive APC administration,” the statement noted.
