Eid el-Fitr: Jonathan salutes Muslims, urges Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri.

In a statement he personally signed, the ex-president said the festival is a powerful reminder of faith, sacrifice, and devotion to God, values that inspire hope and strengthen shared humanity.

Jonathan urged all Nigerians to embrace the virtues of the season to deepen unity, show compassion, and build bridges of brotherhood.

He said, “As Muslims around the world reflect on the spirit of obedience and generosity, let us as a nation draw from these virtues to deepen unity, show compassion, and build bridges of brotherhood.

“I call on all Nigerians to embrace the lessons of Eid by working together for peace, progress, and prosperity.”
