Family, friends and associates will, on Thursday, April 24, converge on Dimorjiriaku village, Amaihe in Osumenyi town, Nnewi South Local Government Area, Anambra State, to bid farewell to Chief Enoch Ebuka Ezike, as his remains are committed to mother earth.
The late Ezike, who held the chieftaincy title of Egojuruoyi in Osumenyi Community, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 during a brief illness. He was 57 years old.
A devout Christian of the Anglican Communion and a successful businessman, Egojuruoyi was known for his uncommon benevolence and philanthropy in his community, church and among his friends and associates.
According to the burial programme signed by his eldest son, Ebuka Gift Ezike, there will be a social and cultural Wake by his Osumenyi kinsmen, business associates and friends on today at his Lagos residence, No. 5, Mayowa Olakanye Street, Okunola, Lagos. A Service of Songs by St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Egbeda, Lagos, will also be held at the same venue on Sunday, April 6.
Another Christian Wake will be held at the Ezike Compound, Dimojiriaku village, Amaihe, Osumenyi, Anambra State, on Wednesday, April 23. On Thursday, April 24, his body would leave the morgue for lying-in-state at his compound. A funeral service will be held at his compound after which interment follows immediately at the same venue. There will be an outing/thanksgiving service by his family on Sunday, April 27 at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Osumenyi. He is survived by a widow and children.
