EFCC arrests 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa

Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters in Tamah, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday, April 29.

EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, announced in a statement on Thursday, May 1, that the arrests in Tamah Local Government Area followed actionable intelligence linking the suspects to fraudulent online activities.

Items recovered include five laptops and 34 mobile phones.

Oyewale stated, “They will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.”
