EFCC nabs 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Taraba

Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Wukari, Taraba State.

EFCC Spokesman Dele Oyewale confirmed their arrest.

According to him, the suspects were arrested behind Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in cybercrimes.

“Items recovered from them include two cars, 12 laptops, and 46 phones.

“The suspects will be charged to court soon,” he added.
