EFCC nabs 24 internet fraud suspects, recovers 11 luxury cars in Edo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 24 suspected internet fraudsters and recovered 11 exotic cars, laptops and phones in Benin City, Edo State.

In a statement, the EFCC said its Benin Zonal Directorate arrested the suspects at different locations within Benin City on Wednesday.

“The suspects were arrested based on actionable intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet- related fraud.

“Items recovered from them include 11 exotic cars, laptops and phones.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the commission said.
