The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the death of one of its officers attached to the Lagos Division.
On Monday, a video shared on the internet revealed that the officer who was not in uniform slumped and died in Lagos.
In the clip, sympathisers surround the deceased officer, with police officers searching his bag. His identity is revealed through his ID card.

“He works with EFCC. His ID card is with him,” a voice in the clip said.
Confirming the officer’s demise, EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale revealed that an investigation was underway.
“Yes, the man is our officer. His death is being investigated. The incident happened on Sunday,” Oyewale stated.
