Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have recovered the second SUV stolen during a robbery at the residence of Mr Kennedy Odion, factional state chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Benin City.
The robbery reportedly occurred on September 6, at Odion’s residence off Winners Road, Ihie Community, Benin City.
The recovered vehicle, a black Toyota Highlander with registration number LSR 729 HY, was traced to 3rd Cemetery Street, off New Lagos Road, New Benin, following credible intelligence received by the police.
The recovery was carried out by operatives of the Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU).

Police authorities said efforts are continuing to track down the remaining suspects involved in the robbery, recover other stolen property and bring all those responsible to justice.
Following the recovery of his stolen vehicle, Mr Kennedy Odion expressed his profound appreciation to the operatives of the Edo State Police Command for their professionalism, dedication and swift response in securing the recovery.
He, however, urged the Command to intensify efforts to apprehend and bring the perpetrators to justice. Mr Kennedy stressed that ensuring that those responsible are held accountable would not only deliver justice but also serve as a strong deterrent to others who may contemplate engaging in such criminal acts.
