Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo reaffirmed his commitment to delivering election promises by launching more developmental projects during a service at St Anthony Catholic Cathedral in Uromi on Saturday, April 19.

Accompanied by key administration members, he thanked God and the congregation for supporting his senatorial and gubernatorial victories, affirmed by the election petition tribunal.

Okpebholo announced several road contracts to boost infrastructure, including a dual carriageway from Uromi to Ubiaja, with work started on the Ubiaja side.

He said, “Work has already commenced on the Ubiaja side, with plans for additional lanes reflecting our commitment to leaving a lasting legacy in the Esan region.” Another route from Uromi to Iworah via Unewa and Uwesan is underway to ease congestion.

He urged community cooperation to drive progress and donated to the cathedral’s development, reinforcing his ties to the church. Bishop Donatus Osa praised Okpebholo’s peace efforts in Uromi, urging residents to support his vision for a better Edo.
