Ahead of the 2023 general election, the senator representing Edo North senatorial zone, Francis Alimikhena, has received his certificate of return from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The certificate was issued, yesterday, by the Edo State Chairman of the PDP, Tony Azegbemhe
Azegbemhe urged politicians to emulate Alimikhena by rendering selfless service to humanity, so as to have a strong basis for re-election and make victory easy for the party.
In his response, Alimikhena thanked the party’s leadership in Edo North and described the certificate of return as a mandate to return to work and service to humanity.
“We have delivered on our mandate and we will continue to pursue people-oriented programmes by extending the dividends of democracy to all our people in Edo North across party lines,” he said.
Alimikhena will be ending his current term by next year, and will be up for re-election in the 2023 general election.
