The OMO-IZA of Igarra Kingdom  and President of Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA) also known as Edo Indigenous Movement Worldwide, Omogiade Enoyiogiere Edokpolo has lauded the state governor, Mr. Gov. Godwin Obaseki for appointing Omobayo Marvellous Godwins as deputy governor of the state.

Recall that Omobayo replaced Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, who was impeached recently by members of the state house of assembly on alleged gross misconduct.

He said Akoko-Edo has long been marginalised in the political sharing of the state.

According to him “This is a step to eliminating marginalization in Edo State.

“Being one of the oldest local governments in Nigeria, Akoko-Edo has long been deprived of such appointments for a very long time.

“I also like to congratulate all the chiefs in Akoko-Edo, especially the highly reverend Otaru of Igarra, HRH Oba Emannuel Adeche Saiki II who possesses the quality of a philosopher- king that anyone can imagine.

“It’s indeed a milestone in governor Obaseki’s administration, ” Omo-Iza of Igarra Kingdom, said.
