Edo First Lady visits, UBTH, ESH, Central Hospital hands out cash, gifts at Christmas

The First Lady of Edo State, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki has handed out gifts to the Christmas babies in Edo State and other babies at the hospital as at the time of her visit.

The Edo State First Lady who was represented by the Wife of the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Ejiro Ogie was received at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) by the Management of the Hospital led by the Chief Medical Director, Dr Darlington Obaseki.

Mrs Ogie handed out cash and gifts to the mother of the Christmas baby, a baby girl born to the family of Mr and Mrs Omorowa at 2:15am weighing 2.5kg.

In the same hospital, another girl was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Enogie at 10:30am weighing 3.52kg

She and her entourage then moves to Edo Specialist Hospital where gifts were presented to Mrs Sophia who was delivered of a baby boy at 8:30am weighing 3.2 kg.

The Central Hospital Benin was their next stop, where Mrs Esther Aigbu was delivered of a baby girl at 8am weighing 2.7kg.

The beneficiaries of the gifts, expressed their gratitude for the gifts which they described at a “blessing from God.”
