The Edo People Association of Montreal (EPAM) will mark its 22nd anniversary on Saturday, October 31, 2026, with a celebration honouring its founders, promoting Edo cultural heritage and strengthening ties among Edo people in the diaspora.
The event, themed, “Honouring Our Roots, Celebrating Our Journey, Shaping Our Destiny,” will hold at The Polish Hall, 2721 Jolicoeur Street, Montréal, Québec, Canada, and is expected to attract Edo sons and daughters, community leaders, professionals and friends of Edo State.
Founded in 2004, EPAM has served as a platform for fellowship, mutual support, cultural preservation and community development among Edo people in Montréal.
The anniversary will celebrate the association’s achievements over the past 22 years and recognise the contributions of its founders, pioneer leaders and successive executives who have sustained its mission.
A major highlight will be the recognition of EPAM’s founding fathers, mothers and pioneer leaders whose vision and sacrifices laid the foundation for the organisation.
Among those to be honoured are the association’s first Executive President, Andrew Uzamere; Osagie Irabor; Eric Osagie; Osa Osifo; and other pioneers who contributed to building a united Edo community in Montréal.
The association will also recognise individuals and supporters whose service, generosity and commitment have contributed to its growth and community impact.
Olamigoke Awode will chair the occasion, while Joe Ehizode will be the guest speaker.
