ECOWAS applauds Nigerians over shift in polls

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), has applauded Nigerians over their conduct, following the shift in the earlier dates for the 2019 elections.

Head of the ECOWAS Election Observation Mission to Nigeria and former President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who gave the commendation in Abuja, also said the people of Africa were in solidarity with Nigeria.

Johnson-Sirleaf further said it had watched the progress of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in addressing the logistical and technical problems, saying that it was pleased that the constraints had been addressed.
