The 2019 Governorship Candidate of the Action People’s Party (APP) in Ebonyi State, Dr Elechi Oko Elechi has hailed governor Ogbonna Nwifuru on his electoral victory at the Court of Appeal.
Elechi, in a statement, yesterday, described the verdict as legendary and in consonance with the will of the people of the state as demonstrated in the ballot.
He remarked the judgement was fair and praised the judiciary for doing justice in the matter, adding that it has once more, uphold the creed of the profession and a beacon of democracy.
He called on candidates of the opposition parties in the last general election to close ranks and support the governor to bring dividends of democracy to the state
“It is time to close ranks and bury the hatchet, I call on the contesting parties to drop their reservations and support the governor to bring dividends of democracy to the state”
“We can’t win everyday. What is most important is the development of the state which is imperative that the governor is not boxed to any kind of distraction so that he can focus on the business of governance.
“His Excellency, Rt Hon Ogbonna Nwifuru already has started on a good footing with all manners of transformational policies and this by judgement, he will be relieved of some burdens to concentrate on the good works he is doing,” he said.
