The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has pegged the expression of interest and nomination forms for the chairmanship position at ₦30 million for the local government and councillorship elections.
The state chairman of the party, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, disclosed this to journalists in Abakaliki, the state capital, at the weekend after a closed-door meeting with the 13 local government and 171 ward chairmen and secretaries of the party in the state.
“The meeting was to brief them on the forthcoming programmes of the party. Information is power and it’s my duty to always carry them along with needed information.
“They will now take the message I have given them to their respective local governments and wards so that all the party executives at all levels will be carried along.
“Expression of interest and nomination forms for chairmanship position is ₦30m, while that of councillorship is ₦250,000.

“Sales of ward delegates and councillorship forms starts from 8th of this month, January, while that of chairmanship is from 9th and ends on 19th.
“Primary elections for councillorship and delegate hold on 24th January while 26th is for chairmanship.
“The delegates and councillorship elections is option A4 while chairmanship is delegate election. That is to say, the elected delegates will be the ones to elect the chairmanship candidates,” he said.
Emegha noted that the e-registration and revalidation of party membership is about to commence and that it will last for 30 days.
He enjoined the party executives to do their best to ensure Ebonyi records the highest in the exercise, stressing that Ebonyi is full of APC and such ought to be proved during the membership registration and revalidation exercise.
